According to German news outlet Kicker, Granit Xhaka’s wife has her heart set on moving back to Germany this summer.
This comes on the back of reports claiming Bayer Leverkusen want to sign the Arsenal midfielder.
Xhaka, 30, will be out of contract next summer and Mikel Arteta will reportedly not stop him from leaving.
Xhaka met his wife during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach. And she is believed to no longer want to live in London.
As a result, the couple could seriously consider moving back to Germany, meaning Xhaka’s time at the Emirates appears to be nearing an end.
