Is this Barbiecore? I don’t really know. Personally, I think Jennifer Lopez Affleck is giving Pretty, Pretty Princess in this head-to-toe blush-pink look she posted to Instagram.

The carousel of photos appears to be taken from an appearance promoting her latest rom-com, Shotgun Wedding and makes a strong case for rose pink to be J.Lo’s real colour. I know that green is supposed to be her lucky colour and everything, but the woman is positively glowing in coral.

“On Wednesdays we wear pink,” Lopez captioned the photos, adding a couple of heart emojis and tagging Shotgun Wedding movie and Amazon Prime Video. In the pics, the actor wears a Magda Butrym body-con dress with a mock-turtleneck decorated with rose detail, paired with strappy stilettos from FEMME, gold jewellery, and a romantic makeup and hair look. Scrolling through the carousel, you’ll see that Lopez’s complete look includes a perfectly colour-matched trench and Coach saddlebag.

Jennifer Lopez appears to be on a quest to single-handedly save the mid-budget movie, which is to be commended, and Shotgun Wedding is the perfect example. Also starring Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Coolidge, and D’Arcy Carden, the film is a romantic-comedy-adventure about a bride-and-groom-to-be whose destination wedding is interrupted by hostage-takers. Hijinks and Jennifer Coolidgeisms ensue.

Lopez and Duhamel star as the bride and groom, while Coolidge reportedly steals the show as Duhamel’s wacky mother. (The trailer begins with Coolidge singing Edwin McCain’s quintessential wedding jam, “I’ll Be,” which is more than enough to sell me.)

“I feel there has been a few rom-coms out in the past couple of months that were nice and were kind of reviving it. And we are always trying to push the envelope of what we do,” Lopez told Gulf News. “Sometimes, it can all feel like the same ending, and it’s expected.”
