Jude Bellingham ‘has accepted all details of his Real Madrid contract offer’ and the England midfielder is ‘excited’ about joining Los Blancos… with the LaLiga side ‘hoping to agree a final fee with Dortmund this month’

Jude Bellingham’s Real Madrid move has reportedly moved a step closer after the Borussia Dortmund midfielder accepted ‘all details’ of the offer from the Spanish giants.

The 19-year-old star looks nailed on to move to the Bernabeu this summer after Mail Sport revealed earlier this month that Madrid were closing in on a deal for the £130million-rated England international.

He had been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester City after his impressive displays for England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but Madrid have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature after reaching out to his father Mark and holding talks in London last month, while the Reds withdrew from the race.

Now Fabrizio Romano has claimed Bellingham has accepted ‘all details’ of Madrid’s proposal to him and did so 10 days ago, allowing the transfer to edge closer to completion.

Bellingham is said to be ‘excited’ about the project facing him at the Bernabeu, the transfer guru added, as he prepares to become their latest Galactico.

Madrid will now look to wrap things up with his club Dortmund and plan to speak to them this month to agree on a final transfer fee, the report adds.

The club’s hugely influential chief scout Juni Calafat, who is understood to have met Mark Bellingham at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London, wants Bellingham to lead the club into a new era and form a formidable midfield alongside Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

Toni Kroos has also extended for another year and coach Carlo Ancelotti wants Luka Modric to stay for 12 more months to aid the transition further.

Madrid have been off the pace of La Liga leaders Barcelona this season but have a chance of reaching the Champions League final. They drew 1-1 against Manchester City in the semi-finals ahead of the second leg at the Etihad next week.

Regarded by many as the most complete midfielder of a generation, Bellingham has made 52 appearances for club and country this season, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists.

Former Real Madrid star Steve McManaman – another former British star who was snapped up by Los Blancos – said Bellingham would be treated like a king if he moved to the Spanish capital.

‘Nothing is going to happen until the summer – if at all – but if Jude does happen to sign for Madrid he will be treated like a king,’ McManaman explained.

‘I think there’s something starry-eyed about Madrid. They are trying to accumulate younger players as they have been over the last few years. They’ve certainly got the finances.

‘They thought they were going to get Kylian Mbappe and they bid for Mbappe last summer. I think with the added stardust of playing for playing for Real Madrid with the history they have in the city that they are. And everything that goes along with this.

‘It will be this new phase of Madrid with the youngsters then taking over. And they’ll be on the look out for more players.’

But Bellingham’s Dortmund boss Edin Terzic played down claims he could join Madrid this summer, insisting he hadn’t spoken to him about leaving.

‘I haven’t even heard from him that he’s involved with another club,’ he told reporters all understandably queuing up to question him regarding the England international.
