There is a bone of contention right now between married couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez after she chose to endorse an alcoholic product.

They are one of Hollywood’s most famous couples but their young marriage has been hitting the occasional snag, such as how long it has taken them to find a house to buy, supposedly due to Lopez‘s pickiness.

The latest issue between them is around an alcoholic beverage called Delola which JLo has been promoting. The singer and actress does not drink, but she has been happily promoting the product.

However, another problem has arisen for JLo at home, as Ben is having a hard time, according to Heat magazine, which has consulted several sources who have relayed Affleck‘s feelings and thoughts on his wife’s activities.

“He would prefer it if there was no alcohol in the house, but he has to sit down and watch Lopez work on this project. He thinks it’s inappropriate,” the report said.

Ben‘s problems with alcohol are well known, and he has needed treatment to overcome his addiction.

“So far, Ben has shown remarkable willpower, but he can’t help but be disappointed to see his wife promote something that almost ruined his life,” they add.

While JLo seems excited about her new alcohol line, her husband is certainly disappointed with her engagement in the line, which once negatively affected his life. Affleck’s struggle to cope with alcoholism has been witnessed by all his fans. People criticized JLo for provoking his addiction. A fan questioned JLo on her Instagram post, stating,

“Wow. I’m so disappointed and confused by the narrative that she puts out about how she doesn’t drink alcohol and all the benefits from not drinking. And her partner is sober?”

Another suggested,

 “This is probably not the best way to support a sober husband.”

“Very disappointing considering you have said on numerous occasions that you don’t drink and all the benefits that come with it. In addition, your husband is a recovering alcoholic. Each day is a battle. I find it off for your brand. Did you even consider partnering with a non-alcoholic brand?”

An insider also informed Heat Magazine, 

“Ben’s trying hard to stay sober and has difficult days like every recovering alcoholic. He would prefer if booze wasn’t in the house at all but has to sit back and watch Jen work on this project. The whole thing feels inappropriate.” 

Reportedly, the 50-year-old actor has shown commendable willpower regarding this whole scenario. However, Affleck is disheartened by the fact that his wife is involved in promoting the thing that almost ruined his life.

Jennifer Lopez is being slammed for bluffing people. JLo is facing backlash for her new alcohol brand, Delola. JLo has always been vocal about being a non-drinker. Even in an interview, she claimed,

 “I haven’t been a big drinker my whole life. For a long time, I didn’t drink at all.” 

This statement raised eyebrows, and people pointed out that JLo is offering something she rarely consumes. Some also called out the Shotgun Wedding star for bluffing them.

Fans took to Instagram and commented on Lopez’s Instagram post. One user commented,

“Oh wow. This is disappointing. Why not create a NA brand considering you’ve been outspoken about the negative effects of alcohol and that you yourself don’t drink?”

Another user wrote, 

“I’ve always been a fan of JLo but again this is really really disappointing and her messaging is very confusing.”

Other users also showed their disappointment with JLo’s new brand; one user stated,

“Very disappointed in you Jen! You don’t drink and your husband has an alcohol abuse disorder. Do you really need the money? Why not an AF line of drinks. You live and support a better life style than this and it is not authentic!”

Amidst all these criticisms, JLo seems unbothered by them. Referring to Lopez, an insider said,

 “She’s just putting her name to a marketable product – she sees no issue with it.”

The actress revealed in an interview that the design of her alcoholic drink is inspired by Affleck. She said that the bottle of the drink has two lions that depict their sun signs, as JLo and Affleck are both Leos.
